Beer With Me

Beer With Me is a social app that aims to bring together all of its beer-loving users on the prowl for the best spot for some frothy fermented barley juice.

The way Beer With Me works couldn't be simpler. Once you've customized your profile, it automatically generates a QR code that your friends can scan to find you on the social network. This has a drawback, because in order to find new people, you're going to have to have met previously in real life, given that you can only add new friends if you already know their username or scan their QR code. But once that's over with, this app shows you where your friends are and how many beers they have drunk already.

Similarly, by pressing the button located on the empty beer glass, your glass avatar gets filled and will rack up your beer count for the evening. This is a particularly nice touch if you're aiming to keep track of the amount of beer you drink, and want the ultimate bragging rights amongst your friends.

That being said, Beer With Me is not a particularly interesting or unique app. Users cannot find new people from here, nor can they discover new types of beer, places where beer is sold, or even really show off their favorite beer. In the end, it all boils down to a portable beer map of the city and little else which is not terribly useful or entertaining.
